Do you have a list of standard features which are included in the base price of one of your homes?

Yes, we do. Please see our Standard Features tiered sheets in our registration packet.

Do you have an options list for upgrades or upgrade packages available for review?

We are a true custom home builder. All upgrades will need to be discussed in the planning stage of drafting the design of your home.

What makes TWCH different from other upscale local builders?

We are a family owned Gainesville business that was founded in 1954.  Unlike the multitude of franchised builders, the subcontractors who will work on your home are local subcontractors. We have enjoyed strong business relationships with many of these professionals since our Company’s inception. These relationships are an integral part of our success and help to ensure a smooth construction process from start to finish.

Where do you build?

We build anywhere in Alachua County. We will build on your lot or one of ours located in several subdivisions in SW and NW Gainesville.

How long does it take to build a house?

If you use a stock floorplan a new construction build can take anywhere from five to seven months. We are happy to modify any of our floorplans to suit your needs. If you design a custom home, this process may take longer. Floorplan development is determined by you and your needs.

What are your standard energy efficient items included with every home?

Yes, we do. Please see our Energy Efficiency tiered sheet in our registration package.

Are you an environmentally conscious builder?

As a custom home builder, we can tailor your home to meet your green energy requests. The standard materials that we use are environmentally friendly. Contact our office for more details.

What type of warranty do you offer?

We offer a standard one year builder warranty covering material defects in workmanship. After the walk through of your home, we will discuss the warranty in detail. Should anything happen outside of wear and tear, we will be pleased to take care of it for you.

What are some of the names of your popular floorplans?

We do not name our floorplans. As a custom home builder, our floorplans are labeled based upon the total air conditioned square footage of the home.

If I find a floorplan that I like, can you quote me a construction cost?

We take pride in the term “custom” so it is challenging for us to quote a price per square foot cost. It’s really up to you, your design features you want, and what finishing work you choose for your home.

The home construction process seems daunting to me. What services do you provide to help the process go smoothly?

Via a series of meetings with Tommy, you will discuss which features are of utmost importance to your family and you. Tommy will personally work with you to ensure that you stay within your budget. Tommy will accompany you when visiting our granite, flooring and plumbing contractors’ showrooms. He will use his personal expertise to assist with your budget conscious selections.  We also work closely with two local decorators who will help you throughout the material selection process.
